A: I think it depends on where the string broke, I would suspect that the strings broke right at the edge of the head unit, indicating that maybe you do the head too fast instead of using a slow and steady approach Just my opinion.
Q: Does this work on electric trimmers?
A: It depends on the shaft size of your trimmer. I ended up giving this away because my trimmers shaft is 3/4". If your shaft is 1/2" I don't see why it wouldn't fit. It doesn't matter what powers it, gas or electricity. Check out the shaft size.
Q: Will this fit on a troy bilt tb55b? it's an older model thanks!
A: I believe your model is electric, IF there's a chance the head come off the shaft and provides you with a shaft abs a nut to screw on this attachment then yes it will work, but if your head does not remove leaving a straight shaft then it will not…tg
